Mother's Day as cleared by name it regards as "Day Of Mother". As there is special place for mothers in everyone's heart and why not she deserves it. To show great love for mother and make her feel happy to thank her for her great and lovely deeds we celebrate Mother's Day. Mother's Day is a world wide celebrated event that remarks and honours mother and motherhood.

Mother's day is annually celebrated and it is very memorable day for everyone. Date of celebration of mothers day may varies from country to country but usually celebrated in the month of March, April or May. And in majority of the countries it is mostly celebrated on ''Second Sunday of May''.

In India it is celebrated on Second Sunday of May. This celebration is observed by many countries in the world with great enthusiasm and gratitude for mothers. 

Children celebrate this event with great pomp. On this day people present gift to their mom with great love. Many people decorate their homes and offer their mothers to cut cake and present lovely gifts.

In many countries Mother's day is observed as holiday as evolved in USA. And also adopted by other countries it has different meaning with association to Mother's Day celebration. In some part of the world it is considered as offensive to celebrate Mother's Day as thay don't want to mark one's mother to Mother's Day while in some countries it is well celebrated event just like festivals. The extent of celebration varies greatly.

It is known that the first modern Mother's Day holiday was celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held memorial in St. Andrew's Methodist Church for her mother. She wanted to make Mother's Day a recognized holiday and thus started campaign in United States.

On this day people also go out for having fun and to spend time with mothers. Really it make one's mother feel special. This is great day to celebrate God’s wonderful gift, Mothers. We cannot count mothers contributions in our life.

कई देशों में मदर्स डे को यूएसए में विकसित होने की छुट्टी के रूप में मनाया जाता है। और अन्य देशों द्वारा भी अपनाया जाता है, मदर्स डे के जश्न के साथ इसका अलग अर्थ है। दुनिया के कुछ हिस्सों में मातृ दिवस को मनाने के लिए इसे अपमानजनक माना जाता है क्योंकि थय किसी की माँ को मातृ दिवस के रूप में चिह्नित नहीं करना चाहते हैं जबकि कुछ देशों में यह त्योहारों की तरह ही अच्छी तरह से मनाया जाता है। उत्सव की सीमा बहुत भिन्न होती है। यह माना जाता है कि पहली आधुनिक मातृ दिवस की छुट्टी 1908 में मनाई गई थी, जब अन्ना जार्विस ने अपनी मां के लिए सेंट एंड्रयू मेथोडिस्ट चर्च में स्मारक रखा था। वह मदर्स डे को एक मान्यता प्राप्त अवकाश बनाना चाहती थी और इस तरह संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में अभियान शुरू किया।

इस दिन लोग मस्ती करने और माताओं के साथ समय बिताने के लिए भी बाहर जाते हैं। वास्तव में यह किसी की माँ को विशेष महसूस कराता है। भगवान के अद्भुत उपहार, माताओं को मनाने के लिए यह महान दिन है। हम अपने जीवन में माताओं के योगदान की गणना नहीं कर सकते हैं।
